Intro: Did you know that on a 70 degree day, the inside temperature of your vehicle can reach 89 degrees in 10 minutes and 104 degrees in 30 minutes. This is why it is critical to never leave your pet in a parked car, even if it’s only for a few minutes. Vehicles tend to magnify the heat and when you leave your car in the sun it can feel like a sauna. Because of this, some states have laws in place that prohibit leaving your pet in a car during dangerous conditions. If reported, owners can be charged with a crime.
